HD Spex produces the world’s only premium high definition eyewear for Target Shooters, Hunters, Waterfowlers, Fishermen, Golfers, Endurance Athletes, Sailors, RC Modelers, Pilots, Motorcyclists/Drivers and Snow Sport enthusiasts.
ColorTrast, our proprietary and exclusive high definition color enhancing technology, was developed to provide high definition vision by infusing our lenses with the optimal amount of contrast while amplifying and enhancing color. We do not tint our lenses.
Our high definition Lenses benefit from the same thinking used in today’s high definition televisions, superior clarity and color reproduction. We have then taken the thinking one step further to achieve optimal definition and clarity while enhancing color. HD Spex achieves superior visual performance by applying science to sport.

HD Spex offers sports enthusiasts a variety of technically superior lenses for maximum visual performance. FOUR Different Series of Lens Technologies are available in HD Spex frames.
1. CUSTOM HIGH DEFINITION SERIES
All available in both Plano and Rx.
HD Spex has a range of Custom high definition lenses that offer stunning color enhancing capability. Theses lenses benefit from HD Spex ColorTrast Technology, a high contrast/high color technology that enhances color definition and vibrancy.
Lens Application: These lenses are customized for the following sports:
Clay Shooting Sports, Hunting, Golf, Cycling, Running, Aviation, RC Model Flying, Driving and MotorCycle Riding.
HD Spex offers the following lens light transmissions in the custom high definition Series for each individual sport or usage occasion:
15% LTM – A full sun lens
25% LTM – A lens perfect for cloudy conditions
40% LTM – A lens optimized for overcast conditions where light is flat
65% LTM – A low light lens designed to brighten visual sight pictures when light is minimized by dark conditions
80% LTM – A light transmission designed for optimizing visual registration in excessively dark conditions or conditions presented with tree cover or threatening gray rain clouds.
2. MAX ORANGE HIGH DEFINITION SERIES
All available in Plano and Rx.
Lens Application: Clay Shooting Sports
The New Max Orange lens series are specialty lenses specifically for Clay Target Shooting only.
The lens technology keys on enhancing the visual part of the light spectrum responsible for orange. Max Orange lenses enhance the color saturation of how we see Orange while introducing a significant amount of contrast to the lens. This enhanced contrast produces excellent registration of the rings and edges on targets.
20% LTM MAX ORANGE – Full Sun Lens
40% LTM MAX ORANGE – A perfect overcast lens and for users that need additionl brightness in average lighting conditions.
65% LTM MAX ORANGE – An Optimized lens for cloudy and overcast conditions
80% LTM MAX ORANGE – A lens specifically designed for enhancement of orange is low light, flat gray light or in areas where there is excessive tree cover.

Our sole focus with the introduction of high definition Diamond Vision Polar Lenses is to create the finest polarized lenses on the market. HD Diamond Vision Polar Lenses deliver the highest standard of protection, optical clarity and color enhancement, all in high definition, while eliminating all forms of unwanted glare and reflected light with maximum polarizing efficiency.
HD POLAR 6% - Perfect for situations with heavy amounts of refracted light in a full sun situation. Rx Available (Fisherman that are very light sensitive – this lens is a must)
HD POLAR 12% - Perfect for situations where there is cloud cover or the sun is high in the sky reducing the angles of refracted light… a great all around lens. Rx Available
HD POLAR 20% - This is a low light HD Polarizer for early morning or late in the afternoon… in an overcast situation. Rx Available
HD Polar 8% - A Copper Based Full Sun HD Polar Lens. Rx Available. This lens is a good solution for individuals who are looking for enhanced color saturation.
HD Polar VARIA – This is a high performance lens that will change transmittance from 10% to 25%… This lens transitions from an all around condition to a low light situation.
4. VARIA HIGH DEFINITION SERIES

Lens Application:
RC Model Flying, Fishing, Golf, Running, Cycling, Aviation, Driving, MotorCycle Riding. NOTE: Varia Technologies are not recommended for Shooting Sports.
The key to our HD Varia Technology is found in the following key points:
A speedy change in light transmission from an activated state to an unactivated state. Meaning fully activated for the dark state and unactivated for the light state of the lens.
Maintaining high definition Color Enhancement throughout the range of transmission change.
HD VARIA 25RC– This is a high performance specialty lens developed for the RC Model Flying enthusiast. Rx Available.
HD VARIA 75 – This lens has been customized for a variety of different applications. Perfect for all applications listed except Fishing and Sailing. The range of change is from 80% transmittance to a 15% transmittance. Rx Available.
HD Polar VARIA 25 – This is a high performance polarizing lens that will change transmittance from 12% to 25%… This lens transitions from a perfect all around condition to a low light situation.
